MENTORING
MENTORSHIP FOR GIRLS
According to Women’s Sports Foundation, 40% of teenage girls don’t participate in sport, compared to the 25% of teenage boys. By the age of 14, girls drop out of sports twice the rate that boys do. We feel this is an obvious correlation to the lack of female coaches and mentors.
The mentoring aspects of our clinic is what really sets us apart from any other. The time dedicated to mentoring our girls during the clinic is something we feel is absolutely necessary for more girls to get involved with sport and to stay inspired to continue reaching their goals.
We love the array of questions we’ve received in the past. Some topics discussed: dealing with adversity, steps to get to college, having confidence issues, transitions, maintaining relationships, balancing school and practice, pressure, tactical confusion, having non-educated parents, healthy foods to eat, pump up playlist songs, and so much more.
