We participated in the GPLA-ACFC Leadership Academy for 50 BIPOC high school girls and nonbinary from the South LA area. This academy cultivates the next generation of leaders by focusing on developing leadership skills while engaging in the fundamentals of soccer and an introduction to pathways inn the sports industry. During these 2 months we helped GPLA curate a program to expand their soccer skillset and knowledge about college admission and health & wellness. Leading this group is former World Cup and Olympian Sasha Andrews-Velez, professional footballer Jordan O'brien, and former Long Beach State player Jessika Rubio.
